Our Approach to Responsibility

At MÀIRI M MACLEOD, responsibility isn’t a label — it’s the foundation. We don’t shout about sustainability. We simply build it into everything we do, from fibre to finish. Modern heritage means honouring what’s worked for centuries, and reimagining what could be better.

1. Made for You

We work on a limited-run and pre-order model to avoid excess and keep things special. We don't believe in overproduction, we believe every piece is meaningful. Nothing is made without intention.

2. Carefully Chosen Materials

We use the highest-grade 100% cashmere - traceable, considered, and spun in mills we know and trust, with minimal processing to preserve the natural integrity of the fibre. Our yarn is dyed using closed-loop dye systems, reducing chemical impact and water waste in dying and finishing. We favour low-intervention processes, meaning less strain on the fibres, the land, and your skin.

3. People First

We work with Scottish mills, finishers, and makers who value skill, time, and respect. From weaving to hand-finishing, our supply chain is short, transparent, and proudly local.

4. Designed to Endure

Each piece is designed with care: flattering, functional, and made to last. We champion quality over trend — quietly bold accessories that elevate the everyday and wear beautifully over time.
